Our NEW, AC Coil combo was also designed to fit most any GY6 150cc vehicle running an AC CDI. The plug is 2 feet long so there is no more stretching wire to fit! Better yet, it allowed us to move the CDI closer to your spark plug to go from 20k volts to 30K and from 2 stock amps to 3!!!.
This CDI is waterproof, Eliminates your Rev Limiter and it's mountable almost anywhere! Your engine can have up to 20% more power at startup. Better starting and higher peak RPM's!
You can also correct the -2 degrees of factory dialed in, emissions friendly, ignition retard which the EPA requires for selling in the U.S. Since the GY6 motor can be a wasted spark motor, and the coil would be working twice as hard (once during compression, once during exhaust), it makes sense to have the best and hottest spark available. This leads to better combustion and more power! Plus, if you have upgraded you carburetor and exhaust, the adjustable CDI allows you to tune it to you motors needs. Really smooths out your top end!

NOTE: This combo is for motors originally equipped with an AC CDI...

To check if you have an an AC or DC CDI, in most cases, if your lights only come on when the engine is running, you have an AC CDI. If you can turn them on with just the key and the engine off, you probably have the DC version.
A better method is If you have 2 wires in your small plug on your CDI plug, It's probably an AC.
If only have 1 wire in the small plug then it's a DC.
This kit is for AC CDI equipped motors only.

NOTE: Most 250's can use this CDI.

If your vehicle's lights work with just the key turned on but the engine not running then, you probably have a DC CDI (like most 250's). This will work for you. Also in most cases you can check the 2 wire connection plug on your stock CDI. If there is only 1 wire going into it, then you have a DC fired ignition system. If you have two wires in the small plug, you have an AC verson.
